On April 04, 2017 Council passed a bylaw which will allow for internet/telephone voting for the 2018 Municipal Election. The Municipality participated in a joint RFP for internet/telephone voting service providers with other Hastings County municipalities: Municipality of Hastings Highlands, Municipality of Marmora and Lake, Township of Carlow-Mayo, Township of Limerick, Municipality of Tweed, Municipality of Centre Hastings.
Eligible electors can vote using a telephone, computer, cell phone, iPad, tablet, or laptop. This is an accessible, environmentally-friendly, and convenient method of voting. Internet voting provides voters with flexibility and convenience, reduces wait times at voting locations, delivers quick and accurate results, and allows students and vacationers to vote from anywhere.
The Township of Tudor and Cashel has made great efforts in promoting a barrier free community. In an effort to ensure that the 2018 Municipal Election is consistent with the core principles of the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act, 2005, 2018 Municipal Election Accessibility Plan was developed in advance of the election in order to identify measures to be taken and reported to Council following the election.
The municipal office will be made available during business hours as a Voter Help Centre to provide ease of voting and a familiar experience.
You will be able to vote in advance of Election Day. The voting period will be from October 9, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. to October 22, 2018 at 8:00 p.m.
